ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Our owner, Roger P. Leon arrived in the United States on October 5, 1995, from Cuba. After diligently completing his coursework, and apprenticeships, he received his electrical contracting license on May 22, 2012.

R Leon Electric, Inc. is a local electrical company that has proudly served Gainesville and the nearest areas in Florida for 13 years. R Leon Electric, Inc. is certified as a Small Business Enterprise by the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners and as a Minority Business by the State of Florida.

“My husband and I had an issue with some electrical outlets that we were running our ceramic Kilns off of. We had already had two electricians over to wire them in, and now neither of them worked. We called Roger and he was there the next day, fixing the problem. The issue was in what the other two electricians did and it caused one of our kilns to “melt” inside the firing mechanism. Roger not only fixed the electrical wiring, he added in a new plug so both kilns can be pluged in at one time instead of having to constantly unplug them, and he also fixed the wiring inside of the kiln. Both kilns are firing perfect and our Christmas production is up and running well. Roger restored our faith in the American work ethics.”

“I recently contracted with R. Leon Electric, Inc. for some electrical work on my 50 year old house. I needed an outdoor fan and lights rewired, my garage lights rewired, some 2-conductor outlets converted to 3-conductor GFCI outlets, and I needed to have a weatherhead installed. Mr. Leon and his crew gave me a reasonable bid and were able to start work almost immediately. The work that didn’t require permitting was done in two days and was done perfectly. The weatherhead, that required a city permit, took only a few days longer but also was done perfectly – including the extra work required on our inside breaker panel due to the obsolete wiring in our house. The worksites were left spotless and everything looks and works perfectly. We could not be more satisfied and I give them my unconditional recommendation.”
